Meet Lisa! Some of you don’t need an introduction to her, as she is one of our fitters. This week we ask Lisa some questions to get to know her better. Here’s the interview:
Q: How long have you been working with Second to Nature Boutique?
A: I started February 2011
Q: What led you to this?
A: After my job with a company I worked with for a total of 23 years decided to relocate to a different part of NC, I decided to stay since we had just purchased a home. Then the owner offered me a job and I decided that this would be a new and interesting adventure. I was a little apprehensive at first but, I realized I always enjoyed challenges and meeting new people.
Q: What are some of your favorite aspects about the position?
A: I would have to say what I enjoy the most is that each woman has her own unique story and I see how important it is to listen to what their concerns are and what they want. And after making sure I acknowledge this and help them look symmetrical, happy, comfortable and satisfied about their appearance to the point that no one should know whether they’re wearing prostheses or not unless they choose to tell them. This makes my job more enjoyable and satisfying.
Q: When not serving patients at Second to Nature, what do you enjoy doing?
A: I enjoy volunteering by discussing the Bible with individuals in the community and helping them to see a brighter future soon to come. I also enjoy flower gardening when I am physically able to do so. Also spending time with family, friends and shopping while saving money with extreme couponing.
